BarkBox

Defining a differentiated POV on retail-ready dog toys.

Merchandising | industrial design

While developing BarkHome, I also supported the SuperChewer team in launching a retail (non-subscription) line of dog toys. To help expand our presence in retail, I contributed to theme development and presented a functional point of view to introduce an additional line or layer to the existing SuperChewer retail assortment.

I joined the team in 2020, when many of us were adapting to working from home and preparing for more time indoors as colder weather approached. For SuperChewer—a brand centered on durable toys for high-energy dogs—seasonal theme development naturally extended from our work on BarkBox. Given the unique circumstances of the time, incorporating additional functional elements into our designs felt like a valuable opportunity to support dog owners' evolving needs and to align with retail partners who prioritized "Features & Benefits" driven products.

For theme-based designs, I ensured a balanced mix of play types, thoughtful color distribution, and contributed to overall theme ideation. (Worked with the SuperChewer design team: Bobby Snell and Tati Ferrucio).
